Apache Tears

I wrote about Apache Tears in my last post. I had a few people wanting to know more about them, so I think I'm bring back my crystal healing posts! If you've been following Indigo Moon Vintage for awhile, you remember I did a lot of posts about crystals and stones and their healing benefits. I felt like my first crystal healing blog post should be about apache tears since this stone has been so close to me lately.

Apache Tears are a type of black Obsidian. They're made from volcanic glass, mainly Rhyolite. They're usually found in Arizona, New Mexica and Nevada. They're connected to the root chakra. A powerful protection and grounding stone. They're good for psychic protection. They absorb negative energies. They're also a great stone to help with healing grief. They help to accept and then release grief. Good for healing emotional wounds and traumas. You can also put them in the tub with you to remove toxins.

Their name comes from a Native American legend. After the men of the tribe died in battle, the distraught women of the tribe cried dark tears of grief, they fell to the earth and Apache tears were formed.

More here..

(I took this in Rhyolite, A ghost town in Nevada)
